MMID Full Form In Banking Sector: Mobile Money Identifier
The Full Form Of MMID , Mobile Money Identifier is seven-digit number which provided by the bank to their customers for use mmediate Payment Service (IMPS). A customer can send there money immediately from one account to another account through IMPS service. MMID allow for real time fund transfer using mobile. MMID number is unique number for each bank account. Hence if customer has two account in either different bank or same bank then customer will get two different MMID numbers.
Customer require to apply for MMID number when customer open a bank account. Customer can also apply for MMID after opening a bank account. The way to provide MMID is not same for every bank. Some bank allow there customer to generate MMID number by sending SMS. Some bank allow through net banking or mobile banking. There are also few bank, those provide MMID number in mobile banking kit. Customer can send money to a person by his MMID and Mobile number even if sender don’t have his account number and ifsc code of receiver.
